Ms A Noonan-Moriarty's Section
“Sa Bhaile” (At Home)
We have been learning all about “Sa Bhaile” (At Home).
We worked in groups to build different rooms of the house and learned some new words in Gaeilge.
We’ve had a wonderful start to the year in Ms. Noonan-Moriarty’s 3rd Class! We explored the theme of autumn through different activities and even learned some new Irish words to go with the season.
In Maths, we’ve enjoyed playing games.
We’ve also been very creative during art!
Recently, we celebrated the many languages spoken in our class. Everyone shared the languages they speak at home, wore special clothes, and proudly drew their own flags. We also learned how to say “hello” in lots of different languages!
Mr D O'Brien's Section
Mr. O'Brien's class are having great fun skipping for 10 minutes every day while working towards their 'Active School Flag'.

We all had fun making some Gingerbread men and drinking hot chocolate before our holidays. Happy Christmas everyone!

World Cup Flags & Nursery Rhymes
We are learning about the flags for the world cup. We also taught our special classes and infants the làmh nursery rhymes
We did Synchrionised swimming in PE and we have been learning about the new 7 Wonders of the world. Here is the Chichén Itzá

School Tour at Fort Lucan
We had a great day on our school tour at Fort Lucan. We have also been working hard on our chess skills!
Fractions, area and perimeter in maths
During April and May we explored fractions, area and perimeter in maths. We built a playground for an ant and made some very persuasive posters for our favourite foods
4th Class were busy in February and March
4th Class did lots of exploring and experimenting throughout February and March this year. We planted sunflowers and made our own water filters in SESE. In maths we explored length, lines and angles. We also celebrated Pancake Tuesday and World Book Day by dressing up and sharing some tasty treats
We had a very busy start to 2026! We researched and learned about Japan, creating some beautiful artwork and informative projects in the process. We made some Rice Krispie buns for procedural writing and explored fractions in maths.
We got into the festive spirit with lots of winter arts and crafts, including miniature woolly hats, salt dough ornaments and some chalk art. We celebrated finishing our novel with some hot chocolate and a movie. We also had lots of fun playing Uni - Hoc in PE.
We had a very busy month of SESE in 4th class. We researched and created some fantastic projects on Ancient Rome and used Google Earth to visit the Colosseum. We marked Science week by making our own lava lamps and using candles to make “magic water.”
This October, we celebrated maths week by gathering data about the school park and tubes of Smarties! We also brought a very spooky atmosphere to our corridor with our night sky art and fantastic costumes.
