News & Events 2025/2026:
A note of Gratitude & Appreciation to Our Parents and the School Community
As another school year draws to a close, I want to acknowledge that this year has been filled with memorable experiences and achievements for our children. From sporting competitions, Christmas Concerts, school tours, Coding & STEM activities, Mini-Scientist, 6th Class Career days and general celebrations, to fundraising events and community initiatives, our pupils have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, creativity and kindness. Their successes are a testament not only to their hard work and the dedication of our staff, but also to the encouragement they receive at home from you, our parents.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generosity in supporting our fundraising efforts especially the Fun Relay and for the many ways you have contributed to school life throughout the year. Whether volunteering your time as a Parent's Council member, helping with the book rental, supporting and attending coffee mornings and events, or helping behind the scenes, your involvement has strengthened our school community and enriched the experiences of our children.
Thank you for your trust, encouragement and ongoing support. It is a privilege to work in partnership with a very positive parent community. I wish all of our families a safe, restful and enjoyable summer break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting school year on Thursday, August 27th.

6th Class Graduation
Our 6th classes graduated on 23 June and it was a very joyous occasion as the pictures demonstrate. We wish all our 6th class students the very best in secondary school and in life thereafter.
Emily wins Art Competition
Good News Story: Emily from Mr McCormack's 3rd class WON an art competition run by the Arc Cinema in Navan and her prize was that she could bring all her class to a private showing of Toy Story 5 in the Arc Cinema Navan. Here they all are at the Cinema and Toy Story 5 was brilliant.
Huge congratulations to Emily and a big thank you for giving all the children in her class this lovely treat.

Parents Council fundraising event
St Stephen's Parents Council hosted their main fundraising event today Monday 25th of May. The children did so well with their sponsorship cards and the support they got with their fundraising was terrific. Final monies raised will be in excess of €10,000. We appreciate all the effort everyone went to to make this day a huge success!!!!!!!

Thank you for your continued support throughout Term 2.
As always the children with the support of teachers and staff and you as parents achieved so much in all areas of school life; school work, sports, Assemblies, Seachtain na Gaeilge, Cake Sales, Sacramental preparation and much more.
Your encouragement and involvement play a vital role in making our school community such a positive and nurturing place for all our children.
We truly appreciate your partnership and all that you do. We look forward to a new term beginning on April 13th on our return to school for more learning and fun.

Ms. Moriarty’s 3rd Class were the winners of our Anti-Bullying Week Odd Socks competition, wearing the highest number of odd socks in the school!
Christmas Message from the Principal
We want to wish all our children and you as parents, a very Happy Christmas and lots of
good wishes for your health and happiness in 2026.
We had a great first term in school; the children worked really hard and you as parents have
been so supportive. Just a flavor of school life; our School Assemblies celebrated the
children's awards for kindness & gratitude and being well and being creative. Our whole
school started learning LÁMH signs as part of our inclusive campus initiative and senior
classes began their Spanish classes. The children became very investigative with the Intel
Mini-Scientist displays, Science & Maths Weeks and Coding.

After all the hard work, the children have really enjoyed these last few weeks in the run up to
Christmas taking part in their Christmas plays, carol singing and lots of Christmas activities
including the Junior Infant PJ day.!
In this time of thinking of others, we thank you to you for your generosity in so many ways
but especially with the Hope Shoe Boxes, our different fundraisers such as the 6th Class Cake
Sales, our non-uniform days and more! We thank our Parent's Council who ensured that our
Class Christmas Calendars are a lovely 'momento' for 2026 and we thank them for organizing
the annual visit by very special and much anticipated visitors, Santa & Mrs. Claus.
Christmas is also a time of remembering and as a school, many families have experience
sadness and bereavement within our school community over this past year. We remember
those loved ones we have lost through the year and especially during December and we hope
and pray that everyone will have the support of family and friends when needed.
Finally we wish you and your family a safe and joyful Christmas and may 2026 bring you
many blessings, health and abundance.
Santa came to visit all the classes in St Stephen's NS and the excitement was palpable. Well done to the PC who helped Santa find all the boys and girls in their classes. It was just a wonderful day and a great start to the Christmas celebrations.
The school choir had a great time carol singing at super valu yesterday. They raised €492.30 for the Meath River Rescue.
Also many thanks to Costa for the hot chocolates for everyone, and super valu for the sweets!
We would like to say a big thanks to Dave from Navan Cycling Initiative who gave a set of bicycle lights for 1 of our 6th classes. It is great to promote safe cycling among our school community and these lights help us do this. Dave was so impressed to see how many children cycle to school and how positive everyone was towards cycling. Well done!

BUS IT 2 SCHOOL PROJECT
We had great interest in our Bus it 2 School mascot competition and the winner is Aria (Ms Beirne/Ms Barrett's class) and in second place is Sourish (Ms Galligan/Ms McGarry's class). Well done to everyone who took part.
2025 Christmas Shoebox Appeal - a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who brought in a Shoebox of Joy. The boxes are now on their way to children affected by poverty in Eastern Europe and Africa. Have a look at this lovely video showing how this parcel of joy is so appreciated.
To celebrate European Languages Day 2025, our school held a vibrant and joyful event!
Children were invited to wear their traditional clothes to school, proudly representing their heritage and cultural backgrounds.
The highlight of the day was a colourful parade, where pupils walked around the school, showcasing the rich diversity of our community. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn about and appreciate the many languages and cultures that make up our school family.
A big thank you to all the children and families who took part -your enthusiasm and pride made the day truly special.
